  • Effective May 26th, 2020, Alliance Executive Director Sidney Plaza, stepped down from the role to accept a position with an outside organization. We want to take an opportunity to thank Sidney for her contribution, passion, and dedication to our mission of aligning, growing, and giving.

Sidney came to the Alliance as the Chief Operations Officer and was promoted to Executive Director upon the departure of our first E.D., Clayton Pummill.

Under her guidance, the Alliance has seen a period of growth and maturation. Sidney brought a wealth of organizational and operational experience to the role and advanced several vital programs.

Our largest program, the Cybersecurity Converge Tour, grew from 7 annual student engagement events in 2018 to 26 in 2019. She launched the Cyber Futures Program, the Alliances’ virtual mentorship mobile app, designed to create clear pathways into employment opportunities for students.  Sidney also opened partnerships with The Girl Scouts Of America and Microsoft’s DigiGirls programs, empowering hundreds of young women in our first year.  Sidney created robust systems and processes that provide a foundation for future growth in the organization. Most importantly, Sidney Plaza brought passion and excitement to the role each day. She communicated proudly and transparently with partners, sponsors, advisors, and our Board of Directors. We are a better, more impactful organization as a result of her leadership, and we are forever grateful for her guidance.

The Alliance has extended an invitation to Sidney to continue with our advisory board.  She will remain a valuable asset for our team, our members, and our future Executive Director.

If you or someone you know exhibits the traits listed above, we want to meet them for consideration to become our  Executive Director. Sidney has left not only a legacy of excellence but also a tremendous opportunity for success for our next leader.
