  • November 17th, 2016.  Alliance Members from the St. Louis area participated in the first annual Gateway to CyberCity conference.  The event aimed to educate St. Louis executives on the importance of cybersecurity and how it’s affecting today’s business environment.

    The conference drew over 300 attendees from all over the region and received financial support from technology firms in silicon valley.

    Members; Lamont Orange of Vista Equity Partners, Mike Gibbons of Edward Jones, Joey Smith of Schnucks Markets and Gary Harbison of Monsanto spoke on panels with other outstanding senior security leaders.

    Ryan Frillman, Chapter President of the St. Louis market for the Alliance, spoke to the importance of giving back to our communities and helping to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity practitioners and leaders.

    With encouragement from the Alliance, 100% of the proceeds from this event will be distributed to community organizations committed to helping grow the regions information technology industry.

    The lunch keynote, by Dr. Charlie Miller, one of the worlds leading ethical hackers, covered his recent successes in hacking vehicles remotely and the dangers that represents in our ever changing environment.

    The Alliance was proud to work with organizations like T-REX, SixThirty Cyber, The St. Louis Regional Chamber, The MidWest Cyber Center of Excellence and many others to make this event such a huge success.
