Corn Con 9 - The Rise Of The Ai

  • Rivercenter, Davenport IA 136 East 3rd Street Davenport, IA, 52801 United States (map)

CornCon is a 2-day Midwest regional cybersecurity conference with world-class speakers, a vendor expo, hacker villages and other networking activities (8 AM to 10 PM daily).

Expected turnout for the 2023 conference is 500 professionals, including past attendees, practitioners, executives, students, educators, and community members.

Representative companies include AT&T, Motorola, Northern Trust, Discover, John Deere, TransAmerica, Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, Collins Aerospace, Aflac, Purdue University, Iowa State University, Premise Health, The Kraft Heinz Company, Deloitte, CISA, DHS, Oakridge National Labs, EFF, Schneider Electric, FBI, CISA and Rock Island Arsenal. (Based on past attendance.)

In addition to the conference, there are activities for students, parents, and educators. This is intended to encourage students of all ages to consider a cybersecurity or STEM career.

On Friday, there will be a high school intro to cybersecurity (planned with the area school districts).

On Saturday, there is an all-day kids' hacker camp & STEM festival. There is an effort to encourage attendance from underserved communities and scholarships are gladly given upon request. Both events expect ~150 students.

We are only 2.5 hours West of Chicago or East of Des Moines on I-80. The convention center is attached to Blackhawk Hotel, and you will find it compares well to much larger and more expensive conferences. The difference is it is close, cost-effective and you will find it a friendly environment and excellent educational and networking opportunity. Join us this year in person! Consider bringing your team (discounts available).
