About The Alliance

The Alliance was created in 2014 by a group of the country’s most senior cybersecurity professionals.

Together, the group agreed to build a non-profit organization to collaborate and tackle cybersecurity challenges common across industries, academia, and government, and do so without regard for competition, size, or scale.

Today the Alliance boasts roughly 600 members, including an influential list of CISO’s and other senior security professionals focused on inspiring the next generations of cybersecurity professionals. We work with middle and high school students, mid-career professionals, and leaders looking to move into the most senior CISO roles in the country. Our programs and content reached about 5,000 students in 2022 and will reach 10,000 in 2023.

In doing all this, the Alliance has created a community that allows professionals to meet, share challenges and solutions, and consider the future of our industry. We are technologists. We are analysts. We are business leaders. And we are public servants.

We have a great mission and the right group of people to make it a reality. Please see our board of directors and our advisory council below.

Why The Alliance?

“What we’ve come to understand is there are problems we face everyday that are bigger then any one of us in this industry. We look at some of these problems and the only way we are going to solve them is by coming together as a group, and that’s what the Security Advisor Alliance represents to me.

What I see there is an opportunity to bring some really smart people together and all of us solve those really big problems we can’t solve by ourselves.”
